• • We are seeking a highly strategic and meticulously detail-oriented Head Legal Cashier to spearhead and scale our critical client money function. This pivotal role reports directly to the VP of Finance, entrusting you with complete ownership of all client money processes. You will be instrumental in managing and developing a growing team, ensuring our systems, policies, and platform not only meet but exceed stringent regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the integration of client money management within the Lawhive platform, guaranteeing unwavering compliance with SRA regulations, embedding industry-leading best practices, and driving operational excellence throughout the entire business. Furthermore, you will play a vital leadership role in mentoring your team, cultivating a high-performing finance function that actively supports Lawhive's dynamic expansion.
• • As the Head Legal Cashier, your responsibilities will encompass several key areas. Firstly, in Team Leadership & Development, you will manage and grow a high-performing client money team, setting a clear example of professionalism and diligence. You will establish and communicate clear standards and expectations, ensuring the team operates at the highest level. Overseeing team workload and task prioritization will be crucial, guaranteeing the timely delivery of all business needs with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy. A significant part of your role will involve mentoring team members, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the client money function.
• • Secondly, in Compliance & Regulatory Excellence, you will be the guardian of our adherence to SRA Accounts Rules, leveraging your profound knowledge of SRA reconciliations and reporting mandates. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls that safeguard client assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Your objective will be to set the benchmark for legal cashiering excellence across Lawhive, disseminating these high standards business-wide. Maintaining vigilant oversight of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures will also be a core component of this responsibility, ensuring Lawhive remains at the forefront of financial crime prevention.
• • Thirdly, in Platform Integration & Process Improvement, you will serve as the primary partner in seamlessly integrating client money processes into the Lawhive platform. This involves proactively identifying any gaps in current systems or workflows and clearly articulating the necessary platform changes required to ensure both compliance and optimal operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with our product and operations teams to prioritize and implement these critical system improvements. Your role will be to drive continuous enhancement of client money operations through the strategic application of technology and ongoing process optimization, ensuring our financial infrastructure remains agile and effective.
