- • As the Head of Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and Deal Finance at Waymo LLC, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of a pioneering autonomous driving technology company. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the CFO, will oversee critical corporate finance functions, including investor relations, capital markets strategy, deal finance, and finance transformation initiatives. You will act as a key strategic advisor, leveraging your expertise to drive Waymo's financial success and support its ambitious growth trajectory.
- • In Investor Relations, you will serve as the primary liaison between Waymo and the investment community. This involves developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations strategy, managing all communications and inquiries from investors, and synthesizing investor feedback to inform strategic decision-making. You will also be responsible for monitoring market conditions, tracking the performance of the autonomous vehicle ecosystem, and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure Waymo's financial narrative is compelling and accurately reflects its market position and future potential. This includes managing all investor reporting and communication channels.
- • For Capital Markets, you will lead the development and execution of Waymo's fundraising roadmap. This encompasses both equity (primary and secondary offerings) and debt financing activities. You will collaborate closely with Waymo's executive leadership and, where applicable, with Alphabet Treasury, to structure and execute complex financial transactions that support the company's capital needs and strategic objectives.
- • In Deal Finance, you will be a critical partner in assessing and unlocking value for Waymo's strategic transactions. This includes close collaboration with executive leadership, corporate development, legal, accounting, tax, and operational teams to drive successful business development deals, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, and other strategic partnerships. You will develop and maintain sophisticated financial valuation models, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and accretion/dilution models, to evaluate strategic opportunities. Your expertise in deal structuring, including pricing and earn-out mechanisms, will be essential for optimizing transaction outcomes.
- • As a leader in Finance Transformation, you will define and champion a clear vision for the future of Waymo's finance function. This involves aligning digital initiatives with overarching business objectives and ensuring the finance team is equipped with the latest tools and processes to enhance efficiency and impact. You will act as a primary liaison between finance leadership, IT partners, and external vendors, ensuring cohesive project execution and effective change management. Your role will be to act as a force multiplier, significantly increasing the productivity and organizational impact across the Finance and Corporate Services departments.
- • Beyond these core areas, you will be expected to provide ad hoc financial analysis and strategic guidance to support key corporate decisions. This involves conducting complex financial modeling, utilizing financial data, and leveraging independent and external research to prepare comprehensive analyses and presentations for senior leadership. Your insights will be crucial in navigating complex financial landscapes and informing critical strategic choices.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance principles, and strategic transaction execution. You will need to possess exceptional analytical and modeling skills, with a proven ability to distill complex data into actionable recommendations. Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills are paramount, as is a commanding executive presence that enables you to contribute thoughtfully to high-stakes decision-making. You must demonstrate persistence in driving principled deals to completion and the courage to disengage from opportunities that no longer align with Waymo's best interests.
- • Waymo is at the forefront of autonomous driving technology, and this role offers a unique opportunity to influence the financial strategy of a company poised to revolutionize mobility. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with a world-class team of engineers, product leaders, and finance professionals. The hybrid work schedule allows for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, fostering a productive and engaging work environment.
