- • Lead the end-to-end transformation of SSRN’s content processing into a scalable, technology-enabled, and analytics-driven operating model to support current and future growth.
- • Redesign submission and processing workflows across intake, triage, integrity checks, routing, editing support, and communications to enhance efficiency and research integrity.
- • Establish governance frameworks, controls, and escalation paths to mitigate research integrity risks and reduce potential fraud in preprint submissions.
- • Define, implement, and oversee quality assurance and fraud detection processes including plagiarism detection, citation anomaly analysis, and emerging integrity signals.
- • Build and manage operational dashboards and KPIs to drive performance transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across content operations.
- • Identify, evaluate, and deliver automation and outsourcing opportunities to improve operational efficiency and control costs without compromising quality.
- • Manage and oversee external vendors, partners, and classification activities, including ownership and optimization of content taxonomy and metadata standards.
- • Lead change management initiatives including documentation, training, and adoption of new workflows and controls across internal teams and stakeholders.
- • Serve as a member of the SSRN Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Director of SSRN, while managing a team of six content processors.
- • Collaborate closely with technical, product, and operational teams to align content processes with platform capabilities and strategic goals.
- • Ensure all content operations uphold the trustworthiness and credibility of SSRN as a global preprint server for scientific and medical research.
- • Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution to deliver measurable improvements in processing speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- • Drive adoption of data-informed decision-making across the content operations function using analytics, performance metrics, and feedback loops.
- • Maintain alignment with evolving research integrity standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
- • Support the global dissemination of trusted science by ensuring timely, accurate, and secure processing of preprint submissions from researchers worldwide.

- • Experience designing and leading complex operational workflows in content, publishing, or knowledge-based environments
- • Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics, and KPIs to drive operational decisions and continuous improvement
- • Experience managing vendors, external partners, and distributed teams
- • Proven change leadership skills, including stakeholder engagement and adoption of new ways of working
- • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational execution
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical, product, and operational teams
- • Prefer an understanding of research integrity, quality assurance, risk management, or fraud control frameworks
