  • • Redgate Software is seeking a pioneering Head of Corporate Development to spearhead our strategic growth initiatives. This pivotal role is born from a recent significant investment, presenting a unique opportunity to establish and own the entire M&A lifecycle from inception through to successful integration. You will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities that not only expand our market presence and strengthen our product portfolio but also drive long-term value for our customers, employees, and investors. This is a chance to shape Redgate's future by translating strategic vision into tangible commercial success, making a profound impact on the company's trajectory.
  • • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational tasks. You will be tasked with shaping and owning Redgate’s overarching corporate development and M&A strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's ambitious growth objectives. A core part of your function will involve proactively building and meticulously managing a robust pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities, requiring keen market insight and proactive outreach. You will lead the end-to-end deal execution process, which includes conducting thorough valuations, managing complex due diligence, and ensuring the successful delivery of transactions. This will involve close collaboration with internal teams across various departments—including finance, legal, product, and engineering—as well as external advisors, to rigorously assess the strategic, financial, product, and cultural fit of potential targets. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in supporting post-acquisition integration efforts, ensuring that newly acquired teams and products can seamlessly and successfully integrate into the Redgate ecosystem, fostering their growth and maximizing their contribution. You will also serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the senior leadership team, providing critical insights on market trends, emerging opportunities, and potential avenues for inorganic growth.
  • • You will be joining Redgate Software, a company dedicated to creating ingeniously simple software solutions that empower data professionals to maximize the value derived from any database. Our products address complex database management challenges throughout the DevOps lifecycle, enhancing efficiency, minimizing errors, and safeguarding critical business data. The data community relies on Redgate to expertly balance the demands of rapid market delivery, effective team collaboration, and robust data protection. We are a company that values innovation, simplicity, and the success of our customers and employees. Our culture is built on collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
  • • This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth and development. Within your first 12 months, success will be measured by the establishment of a strong and actively progressing acquisition pipeline, the successful completion of one or more strategic acquisitions, and the implementation of efficient processes that ensure strong internal alignment with company leadership. You will build and nurture key relationships with colleagues, founders, investment bankers, brokers, and industry partners, creating a valuable network. Critically, you will establish a clear integration framework designed to support and streamline future acquisitions, laying the groundwork for sustained growth. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual eager to build something new, influence strategic direction, and drive significant commercial outcomes, all while operating with a high degree of autonomy and judgment in a dynamic environment. You will have the chance to hone your leadership skills by managing a small team and collaborating closely with the Executive Team, bringing strategic rigor and execution excellence to every facet of the deal lifecycle. The role provides a unique platform to deepen your understanding of the software industry, M&A strategies, and cross-functional team leadership, contributing directly to Redgate's expansion and market leadership.
