- • Redgate Software is seeking a pioneering Head of Corporate Development to spearhead our strategic growth initiatives. This pivotal role is newly created following a significant strategic investment, offering a unique opportunity to build and shape Redgate's M&A function from the ground up. You will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities that align with our mission to create ingeniously simple software for data professionals, enhancing value for our customers, employees, and investors. This role is for an ambitious individual energized by the prospect of creating something new, influencing strategy, and translating innovative ideas into tangible commercial success, playing a crucial part in Redgate's evolution and market leadership.
- • As the Head of Corporate Development, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the full M&A lifecycle. You will be tasked with shaping and owning Redgate’s overarching corporate development and M&A strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's long-term vision and growth objectives. A core part of your role will involve proactively building and meticulously managing a robust pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities, leveraging market intelligence and strategic insights. You will lead end-to-end deal execution, which includes conducting thorough valuation analyses, managing comprehensive due diligence processes, and ensuring the successful transaction delivery of identified targets. This will involve close collaboration with internal teams across various departments—such as product, engineering, finance, and legal—as well as external advisors, to rigorously assess the strategic, financial, product, and cultural fit of potential acquisitions. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in supporting post-acquisition integration efforts, ensuring that newly acquired teams and products can seamlessly and successfully integrate into the Redgate ecosystem, fostering their growth and maximizing their contribution. You will also serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insightful guidance on market trends, emerging opportunities, and potential avenues for inorganic growth.
- • You will be joining Redgate Software, a company renowned for creating ingeniously simple software that empowers data professionals to maximize the value derived from any database. Our solutions are designed to tackle complex database management challenges throughout the DevOps lifecycle, thereby enhancing efficiency, minimizing errors, and safeguarding critical business data for IT leaders, development teams, and operations professionals. The data community places its trust in Redgate to expertly balance the imperative for speed to market with the need for robust team collaboration and stringent data protection. We are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, driven by a passion for solving complex problems with elegant solutions. Our recent strategic growth investment signifies an exciting new chapter, empowering us to accelerate our expansion and further solidify our position as a leader in the database tooling market.
- • In this role, you will have the unparalleled opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive M&A strategy, directly influencing the future trajectory of Redgate Software. You will gain invaluable experience in leading complex, high-stakes transactions from inception to completion, honing your skills in financial modeling, valuation, negotiation, and deal structuring. You will develop a deep understanding of the software industry landscape, identifying key players and emerging technologies that present strategic acquisition opportunities. Furthermore, you will cultivate strong leadership capabilities by managing a small, dedicated team and influencing cross-functional stakeholders across the organization. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to build a sustainable M&A engine, complete strategic acquisitions that enhance Redgate's product portfolio and market reach, and foster seamless integration of new entities, ultimately driving significant long-term value and impact for the company.
- • The Head of Corporate Development will be responsible for identifying and evaluating strategic acquisition targets that align with Redgate's product roadmap and market expansion goals. This involves conducting in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and financial due diligence to assess the potential value and risks associated with each opportunity. You will develop detailed financial models and valuation analyses to support investment decisions, presenting your findings and recommendations to the executive team. A key aspect of the role is managing the entire deal process, from initial outreach and negotiation to final closing, ensuring all legal, financial, and operational aspects are meticulously handled. Collaboration with internal legal counsel, finance teams, and external advisors such as investment bankers and lawyers will be essential to navigate complex transaction structures and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Post-acquisition, you will work closely with integration teams to ensure a smooth transition for acquired employees and products, facilitating synergy realization and operational alignment. This role demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a key advisor to the executive team, contributing to the overall corporate strategy and identifying new growth avenues through both organic and inorganic means. The ability to build strong relationships with founders, executives, and advisors in the tech ecosystem will be critical for sourcing and executing successful deals. Your work will directly contribute to Redgate's growth trajectory, market share expansion, and the enhancement of its innovative software solutions for data professionals worldwide. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, a rigorous analytical mindset, and exceptional communication skills to articulate complex strategies and proposals effectively to diverse stakeholders, from internal teams to external partners and potential acquisition targets. Success will be defined by the successful identification, negotiation, and integration of strategic acquisitions that demonstrably strengthen Redgate's competitive position and drive sustainable long-term value creation.
