- • Lead the data science strategy and execution for Socure’s Document Verification, Biometrics, and Reusable ID solutions, driving step-function improvements in accuracy, speed, and user experience through AI-powered identity trust infrastructure.
- • Own and scale a high-performing team of data scientists and applied researchers, setting standards for innovation, execution, and accountability while architecting state-of-the-art computer vision and multimodal systems including vision-language models (VLMs) for document understanding, face matching, liveness detection, and identity verification.
- • Drive the development of domain-specific foundation models and agentic systems that reason over biometric and document signals to automate verification workflows, detect deepfakes and presentation attacks, and defend against adversarial threats like prompt injection.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to deliver production-grade, compliant solutions; represent Socure externally as a thought leader in biometrics, document AI, and fraud prevention; and advance reusable identity platforms using vector databases and embedding systems for secure identity linking and similarity search.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree (MS/PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- • 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI with a proven track record of building and deploying production systems.
- • Deep expertise in computer vision and multimodal AI, including vision-language models (VLMs), domain-specific foundation models, and biometric systems such as face recognition, liveness detection, and anti-spoofing.
- • Proven experience detecting and mitigating deepfakes, presentation attacks, counterfeit documents, and emerging threats like prompt injection and adversarial inputs.
- • Strong ability to lead and scale high-performing teams under ambiguity, with proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch), and experience with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval.
- • Demonstrated skill in engaging customers and stakeholders, explaining complex AI systems to technical and non-technical audiences, and representing organizations in executive briefings or public speaking.
