We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of Demand Generation to spearhead our enterprise demand generation efforts. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving the adoption of OpenAI's cutting-edge AI products and platform across the enterprise sector, contributing directly to our mission of responsible and widespread AI integration.
  • • As the Head of Demand Generation, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of owning the entire pipeline journey for enterprise clients, from initial lead generation through to the creation of early-stage qualified opportunities. Your primary focus will be on engaging and converting key enterprise buyer personas, including IT leaders, administrators, executives, and Heads of AI, who are crucial to the successful adoption of advanced AI solutions.
  • • This is a highly strategic and cross-functional leadership position that demands a unique blend of strategic foresight and hands-on execution. You will be instrumental in architecting OpenAI's demand generation strategy from the ground up, establishing a robust operating model, and building a high-performing team to support these initiatives. A significant aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with our Sales and Revenue Operations teams to meticulously refine lead quality, optimize handoff processes, enhance conversion rates, and drive overall funnel efficiency.
  • • Your mandate will also include accelerating top-of-funnel growth by not only optimizing our existing demand generation programs but also by innovating and introducing new, impactful programs designed to expand our enterprise pipeline. This involves a deep understanding of the enterprise buyer journey and the ability to craft targeted campaigns that resonate with sophisticated technical and business audiences.
  • • Key responsibilities will encompass building and leading OpenAI’s enterprise demand generation strategy, with direct accountability for lead growth and conversion into early-stage qualified opportunities. You will own and continuously improve the enterprise marketing-to-sales funnel, encompassing critical stages such as lead qualification, scoring, routing, seamless handoffs to sales, and the establishment of shared Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the Sales organization.
  • • A core function of this role is to identify, evaluate, and scale the most effective demand generation channels, programs, and campaign types that consistently deliver qualified enterprise pipeline. This requires a data-driven approach and a keen understanding of market dynamics and buyer behavior.
  • • You will develop sophisticated segmentation and targeting strategies for our priority enterprise buyer personas, with a particular emphasis on IT decision-makers, system administrators, C-suite executives, and emerging AI leadership roles. This involves understanding their unique pain points, motivations, and decision-making processes.
  • • Close partnership with the Enterprise Marketing team will be essential to ensure integrated execution across all facets of the buyer journey, including lifecycle marketing, web presence, event strategies, and other relevant channels. This collaborative approach ensures a cohesive and compelling experience for our enterprise prospects.
  • • Furthermore, you will be responsible for hiring, developing, and leading a team of exceptional demand generation professionals. While empowering your team, you will maintain a close connection to the operational details, enabling you to set strategic direction, diagnose challenges effectively, and drive execution with precision.
