- • As Head of Developer Experience at Sentry, you will own the strategy and execution for the integration ecosystem, developer platform APIs, documentation, community, and education programs — shaping how developers first encounter, learn to use, and build on Sentry’s platform.
- • Day to day, you will lead the documentation function across SDK configuration docs, API reference, and tutorials; connect docs to the product experience through contextual guidance and health checks; own Sentry’s developer community across Discord, social, and events; and build content and education programs like workshops and fireside chats that teach developers tracing, debugging, and full product usage.
- • You will sit in Marketing, partner closely with Engineering and Product (EPD), and have direct influence over both the product surface (integration platform) and the team responsible for developer education, docs, and community — driving adoption, support deflection, and measurable outcomes.
- • In this role, you will build and scale a high-impact DevEx function, establish technical credibility with developers, refine documentation as a product, and turn community engagement into tangible business results while working at the forefront of AI-native application monitoring.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in developer relations, developer experience, or a closely related technical role, with at least 3 years managing people
- • Experience owning or deeply influencing a developer platform, integration ecosystem, or SDK surface
- • Track record of building developer communities that drive measurable product outcomes
- • Strong technical writing instincts and demonstrated experience raising the bar on documentation quality
- • Observability, monitoring, or developer tooling background is a plus
🏖️ Benefits
- • Base salary range of $220,000 to $300,000
