- • As Head of Engineering at WunderGraph Inc., you will lead and develop a high-performing engineering team while remaining hands-on in technical work, ensuring the company’s mission to eliminate friction in digital product development is achieved through robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
- • Day to day, you will spend 30-40% of your time coding in Go, TypeScript, and NextJS, lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, manage hiring and team structure, align with CEO and CISO on product and security priorities, oversee SDLC standards, manage vendor relationships and tooling costs, prepare for security audits, and drive AI adoption to accelerate engineering velocity.
- • WunderGraph is a fast-growing, Series A-funded startup backed by eBay, Karma Ventures, and Aspenwood Ventures, building a collaborative platform that enables end-to-end digital product creation from sketch to deployment, with a culture rooted in transparency, ownership, and getting things done without bureaucracy.
- • In this role, you will shape the engineering culture and technical direction of the company, develop future engineering leaders, ensure compliance with SLAs and security standards, leverage AI for automation, and directly contribute to company-wide success by enabling teams to ship high-quality software at scale while growing your own leadership and technical expertise in a global, remote-first environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Profound experience in various programming languages and styles, ideally in TypeScript and Go, covering the entire stack
- • Proven track record of building full solutions (vs. parts), ideally in the SaaS space
- • Multiple years of leadership experience
- • Excellent communication skills in English
- • Ability to thrive in a 100% remote environment and work during European (CET) business hours
- • Self-starter with a clear sense of priorities — no hand-holding needed
