📋 Description

• Own end-to-end finance, accounting, and operations functions for a rapidly scaling enterprise AI startup, including FP&A, cash flow forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models covering revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, distilling key financial insights and proactively flagging risks to leadership.
• Partner directly with the CEO on critical business decisions related to hiring, capital deployment, investment, and growth strategy.
• Manage relationships with outsourced accounting, tax, and payroll vendors, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
• Oversee all accounts payable, corporate card usage, expense management, and internal financial controls to maintain operational integrity.
• Support HR operations including payroll processing, benefits administration, and related compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel on contracts, vendor agreements, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Own office operations and facilities management for the hybrid San Francisco team, including vendor coordination and resource allocation.
• Implement and optimize financial workflows using AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance functions.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards, particularly in revenue recognition and financial reporting practices.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and drive continuous improvement in financial close processes.
• Act as the primary finance liaison across departments, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
• Scale financial systems and processes to support rapid growth across U.S. and international operations.
• Take ownership of corporate financial governance, including audit readiness, internal controls, and documentation standards.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive finance experience at a high-growth, venture-backed or bootstrapped startup
• Demonstrated ability to own FP&A end-to-end: modeling, forecasting, close, and reporting
• Meaningful use of AI tools to rethink and redesign finance workflows
• Experience with enterprise AI/SAAS businesses
• Strong command of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting best practices
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills
