- • As the Head of Financial Operations at Airwallex, you will lead the global FinOps function to ensure a seamless, end-to-end customer experience across the transaction lifecycle, directly impacting the reliability and scalability of the company’s unified payments and financial platform that serves over 200,000 businesses worldwide.
- • You will be responsible for driving operational excellence and transformation by managing high-performing, multi-regional teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, ensuring business-as-usual targets are met with 100% accuracy while spearheading AI-driven initiatives to raise the bar on efficiency and service quality.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include directing and mentoring a global Financial Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and customer-centricity; overseeing the end-to-end transaction lifecycle to ensure all KPIs and SLAs are consistently met; identifying and implementing AI and automation solutions to reduce manual intervention and scale operations non-linearly; conducting deep-dive workflow analysis to eliminate bottlenecks and re-engineer processes for improved speed and quality; partnering with Product, Engineering, Treasury, and Customer Success teams to align operational capabilities with product launches and market expansions; and building and maintaining data-driven reporting dashboards that provide senior leadership with actionable insights into global operational health.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in Financial Operations, Payments, or Fintech, with at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role managing global or remote teams
- • Proven track record of leveraging AI, Machine Learning, or advanced automation to move beyond manual processes and drive operational efficiency at scale
- • Deep expertise in the transaction lifecycle, including funds flow, reconciliation, and global clearing systems, coupled with proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Looker, or Tableau
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
