- • We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Growth Marketing to spearhead the next phase of Butternut Box's expansion and success within the crucial UK & Ireland market. As our home territory and the vibrant core of our operations, this role presents an unparalleled opportunity and significant responsibility to shape the future of our brand and our impact on dog well-being.
- • In this pivotal leadership position, you will be the architect of our subscriber acquisition and lifetime value strategies, driving sustainable growth across the region. Your remit will encompass owning our ambitious growth marketing targets, meticulously managing multi-million-pound budgets, and optimising all performance levers. This includes a sharp focus on Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), payback periods, and the development and execution of comprehensive full-funnel strategies, alongside pioneering new channel innovations.
- • You will be instrumental in defining and articulating our brand narrative, determining our presence across key touchpoints, and forging meaningful connections with dog parents. Your efforts will ensure that an ever-increasing number of families discover and embrace the profound benefits of fresh, healthy dog food.
- • Your leadership will extend across our diverse growth engines, including digital marketing, referral programs, television advertising, and strategic partnerships. You will collaborate seamlessly with brilliant cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Brand, Creative, CRM, Retail, and Product Engineering, to collectively achieve and surpass our ambitious objectives.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to cultivate a dynamic culture of continuous experimentation and creative excellence. This involves a strategic balancing act, ensuring that we achieve impactful short-term wins while steadfastly pursuing a clear and compelling long-term vision for the brand.
- • Reporting directly to the UK & Ireland Managing Director, you will also engage closely with our global growth leadership team, contributing to broader strategic initiatives and best practice sharing. A key responsibility will be to nurture, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, collaborative, and multidisciplinary growth team, providing clear strategic direction and fostering functional excellence.
- • You will lead growth at scale, owning the UK & Ireland growth strategy and managing substantial budgets to ensure we hit ambitious acquisition and LTV targets, driving us towards becoming the undisputed #1 dog food brand in the UK.
- • Advance our digital performance engine by optimising Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, LLMEO, and emerging platforms. You will drive performance from upper-funnel awareness through to conversion, with a relentless focus on marketing efficiency and incrementality to maximise profitability.
- • Evolve creative effectiveness by partnering closely with our in-house Creative Studio, creator partnerships, and agencies to ensure our creative output is deeply insight-driven, distinctive, and continuously refreshed for maximum impact and resonance.
- • Expand our reach beyond digital channels by building and optimising referral, affiliate, influencer, and professional partnership programs. You will proactively seek out new, scalable growth levers that harmonise performance objectives with brand equity building.
- • Champion a robust experimentation framework, running a structured program of testing across channels and customer journeys. This includes embedding best practices in Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), funnel analysis, and incrementality testing to drive continuous improvement and learning.
- • Embed cross-functional growth principles by working collaboratively with Data Science, CRM, Commercial, Retail, and Product teams. This ensures that our growth strategies are intrinsically linked to exceptional customer experiences and tangible commercial outcomes.
- • Develop future leaders by managing, mentoring, and inspiring a high-performing growth team, fostering an environment of innovation, accountability, and commercial effectiveness.
- • This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring 3 days per week in our West London office (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and 2 days from home (Tuesday and Friday).
