- • Lead Ostrom’s end-to-end marketing strategy across brand, performance, price comparison portals, D2D, social, and CRM channels to drive customer acquisition and brand growth.
- • Own and optimize unit economics including CAC, CAC payback, and LTV/CAC in close collaboration with the Finance team to ensure scalable, profitable growth.
- • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing, lean marketing team with clear accountability and ownership across functions.
- • Drive the adoption of AI tools and automation across marketing workflows to enhance personalization, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency.
- • Partner directly with Product and Operations teams to plan and execute successful product launches and feature rollouts.
- • Maintain hands-on involvement in core marketing initiatives while providing strategic leadership and decision-making authority.
- • Analyze marketing and business data rigorously to extract actionable insights, visualize performance trends, and inform data-driven decisions.
- • Champion a builder mindset by navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and executing pragmatically in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
- • Communicate clearly and confidently across teams, presenting strategic recommendations both verbally and in writing to senior leadership.

- • Continuously refine customer acquisition strategies based on real-time performance data and market feedback to maximize ROI across channels.
- • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and knowledge-sharing within the marketing team through regular retrospectives and skill development.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing goals with company-wide objectives, including profitability targets and environmental impact metrics.
- • Translate complex business metrics into clear narratives for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between marketing outcomes and financial performance.
- • Drive the integration of smart energy features (e.g., NeoGrid™, dynamic pricing, EV charging optimization) into marketing messaging and customer journeys.
- • Maintain strict adherence to German regulatory standards in advertising and consumer communication while scaling brand reach across digital platforms.
- • Balance long-term brand building with short-term performance marketing to create sustainable customer relationships and reduce churn.
- • Act as the primary marketing liaison to the CEO and executive leadership, providing transparent reporting on KPIs, budget utilization, and growth trajectory.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a fast-growing startup, scale-up, or comparable dynamic environment
- • Proven track record of scaling B2C consumer brands, ideally in energy, fintech (banking/insurance), or similar industries
- • Strong data-driven mindset with ability to analyze marketing and business metrics, visualize insights, and make clear, actionable decisions
- • Hands-on experience with channel-agnostic marketing optimization, including performance marketing, brand building, and CRM
- • Excellent understanding of unit economics, margins, and customer lifetime value (LTV/CAC)
- • Native-level German proficiency and very strong written and spoken English
- • Builder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, able to prioritize effectively, and skilled at driving initiatives forward pragmatically
