- • Stand up and own Graphite's Paid AEO practice, starting with ChatGPT Ads, establishing it as the first dedicated offering in this emerging channel.
- • Expand the Paid AEO practice beyond ChatGPT Ads to include paid search, paid social, YouTube, and affiliate channels, building a comprehensive paid media strategy aligned with AI answer engine trends.
- • Cross-sell the Paid AEO service into Graphite’s existing client base of fast-growing companies like Webflow, Calm, and Notion to drive new revenue streams.
- • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and management of a new paid media team as the practice scales from zero to a full-function unit.
- • Partner directly with Graphite’s leadership to define the strategic positioning, messaging, and long-term vision of the Paid AEO service line.
- • Develop and present data-driven client strategies, insights, and performance results to executive-level stakeholders to secure and retain high-value accounts.
- • Create compelling case studies that demonstrate the effectiveness of Paid AEO campaigns to win new business and differentiate Graphite in the market.
- • Leverage data fluency and proficiency in growth marketing tools—including Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, and Ahrefs—to measure, optimize, and report on campaign performance.
- • Operate with a bias to ship and comfort with ambiguity, as Paid AEO is a nascent field with no established playbook or industry standards.
- • Build scalable processes and frameworks for Paid AEO execution that evolve through iteration, measurement, and continuous improvement, not rigid dogma.
- • Maintain full autonomy in decision-making and project ownership, with support provided as needed but without micromanagement or unnecessary oversight.
- • Work within a fully distributed, remote-first environment across North America, Latin America, and Europe, optimizing for productivity and performance over location or hours.
- • Contribute to shaping a flexible work environment that accommodates individual work styles while maintaining high standards of output and client impact.
- • Represent Graphite as a senior leader in the Paid AEO space, establishing thought leadership and credibility in a market with minimal competition.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years leading paid media (paid search, paid social, or programmatic) at scale, in-house or at a top agency, with demonstrable results
- • Proven track record of building a channel, function, or team from scratch, not just optimizing existing operations
- • Senior executive presence with ability to win and retain large enterprise accounts
- • Strong data fluency and hands-on experience with growth marketing tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.)
- • Bias to ship and comfort with ambiguity in uncharted, rapidly evolving markets
- • Experience in content, SEO, or AEO is highly relevant but not required
