Head of People (Global)

📋 Description

• • As Head of People (Global) at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., you will own and operate the full spectrum of human resources across a fast-growing, international organization spanning Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, the UK, and the US. This role is critical to scaling the company’s people function in alignment with its mission to build superior application platforms that drive efficiency and societal impact.
• • You will lead end-to-end HR operations including talent acquisition, HR business partnering, employee engagement, learning and development, payroll, compensation and benefits, and HR operations. Your day-to-day involves hands-on execution—driving hiring quality and speed, partnering with founders on organizational design and workforce planning, building practical performance frameworks, and supporting leaders with day-to-day people decisions.
• • You will join a dense, highly motivated, engineering- and product-focused team operating in a flat organizational structure where all members are expected to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Bjak has built the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia serving over 8 million users and is expanding into AI-integrated applications.
• • In this role, you will build and scale a high-quality HR function from the ground up, mentor and lead an emerging HR team, and gain deep experience in global HR operations across multiple jurisdictions. You will develop expertise in balancing strategic people leadership with tactical execution in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
