- • As the Head of Product – Payments Performance at dLocal, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our global payment operations, driving innovation, and ensuring unparalleled reliability and efficiency for our merchants.
- • This pivotal role is responsible for the comprehensive strategy and execution across four critical pillars of our payment ecosystem: Fraud Prevention, Compliance Decisioning (encompassing sanctions, transaction monitoring, KYC/KYT), Routing (including smart routing and request orchestration), and Anomaly Detection & Alert Management.
- • You will be instrumental in shaping dLocal's position as a leader in emerging market payments, directly impacting our ability to offer seamless, secure, and high-converting payment experiences to the world's largest companies.
- • This is a senior, hands-on product leadership position, demanding a seasoned professional with deep expertise in payments performance, fraud mitigation, and compliance within the complex landscape of emerging markets.
- • Your primary objective will be to define a clear and compelling product vision for payments performance, translating it into an actionable, prioritized roadmap that aligns with dLocal's strategic goals.
- • You will lead and mentor a team of talented Product Managers, fostering their growth and ensuring the successful delivery of product initiatives.
- • Collaboration is key: you will work intimately with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, AI & Decisions, Compliance, Fraud Operations, Customer Success, Payins, and Payouts, to ensure a cohesive and effective product strategy.
- • Your leadership will directly contribute to making dLocal best-in-class in terms of approval rates, robust fraud control mechanisms, and overall operational resilience.
- • You will champion a data-driven approach to product development, leveraging insights from performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- • A significant part of your role will involve understanding the nuances of emerging markets, identifying unique challenges and opportunities related to payment performance, and developing tailored solutions.
- • You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and strategy development through to launch, iteration, and ongoing optimization.
- • This includes conducting market research, competitive analysis, and user research to identify unmet needs and potential product enhancements.
- • You will define key performance indicators (KPIs) for payments performance and track progress against these metrics, reporting on outcomes to senior leadership.
- • You will oversee the development and implementation of sophisticated fraud detection and prevention strategies, utilizing machine learning and advanced analytics to stay ahead of evolving threats.
- • In the realm of compliance, you will ensure our decisioning systems are robust, accurate, and compliant with global regulations, including sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and Know Your Customer/Know Your Transaction processes.
- • You will drive the strategy for intelligent routing and request orchestration, optimizing payment flows to maximize success rates and minimize latency.
- • The anomaly detection and alert management function will be under your purview, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues that could impact payment performance or customer experience.
- • You will foster a culture of continuous improvement within your product domain, encouraging experimentation and learning from both successes and failures.
- • Your ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will be crucial.
- • You will represent the Payments Performance product area internally and externally, acting as a subject matter expert.

- • Proven track record of success in product management, specifically within the payments, fintech, or e-commerce industries, with a strong focus on performance-related aspects like fraud, compliance, and routing.
- • Deep understanding of fraud prevention techniques, compliance regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, sanctions screening), and payment routing strategies, particularly in emerging markets.
- • Experience leading and mentoring product teams, with a demonstrated ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
