Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Be the strategic catalyst behind Scholar Rock’s EMEA expansion. In this newly created Head of Projects & Strategic Partnerships role you will sit at the epicenter of commercial, medical, regulatory, and R&D leadership, translating bold vision into executable plans that accelerate life-changing therapies for patients with neuromuscular disease, cardiometabolic disorders, and cancer.
  • • Operate as the right hand to the SVP EMEA General Manager, synthesizing complex market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and internal priorities into crisp recommendations that shape quarterly and annual strategy. You will author board decks, investor briefings, and business cases that secure resources and executive buy-in.
  • • Architect and run a disciplined project-management engine across eight cross-functional work-streams (market access, medical affairs, PV, compliance, clinical, regulatory, business development, and country operations). You will select and deploy fit-for-purpose tools (Asana, Smartsheet, or similar) to create real-time visibility on milestones, risks, and resource gaps.
  • • Build the foundational infrastructure that enables flawless launch readiness. This includes standing up a 360° customer-relationship-management platform, designing incentive-compensation structures, and instituting KPI dashboards that track everything from HCP engagement to pharmacovigilance case resolution times.
  • • Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle—scouting, diligence, negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing governance. You will map the EMEA ecosystem of academic centers, biotech innovators, specialty distributors, and patient-advocacy groups, then craft win-win collaborations that extend Scholar Rock’s scientific reach and commercial footprint.
  • • Serve as the connective tissue between global headquarters (Cambridge, MA) and EMEA affiliates. You will translate global strategy into locally relevant tactics, ensuring that every country team—from Zug to Stockholm—operates with shared objectives, compliant processes, and a unified brand voice.
  • • Lead high-impact “special projects” that do not fit neatly into any single department. Recent examples include designing a pan-European market-research framework to size the SMA presymptomatic population and creating a risk charter that satisfies both EMA and FDA expectations.
  • • Champion a culture of continuous improvement. You will facilitate quarterly retrospectives, codify best practices, and mentor junior project managers so that Scholar Rock’s project-delivery capability scales faster than its pipeline.
  • • Represent the company externally with poise and scientific credibility. Whether presenting to a joint steering committee in Basel or moderating a symposium at the European Academy of Neurology, you will embody Scholar Rock’s patient-centric mission and rigorous science.
  • • Thrive in purposeful ambiguity. In a clinical-stage biotech, priorities can pivot with a single data readout. You will anticipate change, re-sequence work-plans overnight, and keep teams energized through transparent communication and decisive action.
