• • The Regional Growth team is pivotal to Kraken's expansion strategy, focusing on increasing our client base, transaction volume, and revenue within key geographical markets. This role will be instrumental in driving the growth of Kraken within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the broader MENA region, ensuring optimal market positioning and competitiveness against local rivals.
• • As the Head of Regional Growth for UAE/MENA, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of this vibrant market. Your primary objective will be to enhance Kraken's brand visibility, differentiate our product offering, and ultimately persuade prospective clients to choose Kraken for their cryptocurrency, payment, and investment needs.
• • This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a blend of strategic thinking and practical execution. You will be expected to lead by example, developing innovative, local-first growth initiatives that resonate with regional audiences. This includes leveraging global campaigns, creatives, content, and brand guidelines, while adeptly localizing them to meet the specific preferences and cultural nuances of the UAE and MENA markets.
• • A key aspect of this role involves growing the user base within the region and optimizing the entire customer lifecycle. This encompasses driving initial user acquisition, facilitating seamless onboarding, encouraging active trading, and promoting engagement across Kraken's diverse product suite, including Kraken Pro, Desktop, Wallet, and Kraken Futures.
• • You will collaborate closely with a variety of cross-functional teams, including product, onboarding, pricing, banking/funding, sales, and global marketing. This collaborative approach is essential for delivering a holistic growth strategy and ensuring alignment across all initiatives. You will also work with other leaders to prioritize UAE-specific initiatives amidst a landscape of competing global priorities.
• • The role demands a proactive and versatile individual who is not afraid to "roll up their sleeves." This could involve a wide range of activities, such as producing localized content, planning and managing regional events, optimizing local web pages, overseeing localized advertising campaigns, managing local social media channels, and representing Kraken in public relations efforts, interviews, and speaking engagements.
• • Measuring and analyzing performance is critical. You will work closely with our data analytics teams to gain deep insights into growth performance, identify key drivers of success, and intervene strategically to maximize revenue growth and all contributing factors. This data-driven approach will inform your strategic decisions and ensure continuous optimization.
• • While the UAE is the primary focus, this role will also encompass broader MENA geographies as Kraken's expansion efforts progress. This requires an understanding of the diverse markets within the region and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
• • You will be expected to develop and nurture a strong local network, engaging with local agencies, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), strategic partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders within the broader crypto ecosystem. This network will be invaluable for driving local initiatives and building Kraken's presence.
