📋 Description
- • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with potential for overtime during peak seasons.
- • Receive and process requests for patient health information in alignment with Company and facility policies and procedures.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all privileged patient information.
- • Adhere to Company and Customer facility Code of Conduct and all applicable policies.
- • Apply medical privacy regulations consistently to prevent unauthorized disclosure of patient data.
- • Manage patient health records, including assembling, organizing, and verifying accuracy and completeness of medical documentation.
- • Prepare new patient charts by gathering documents from paper sources and/or electronic health records.
- • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in the electronic medical record system.
- • Respond to requests for patient records from both internal and external sources, retrieving and transmitting records appropriately.
- • Operate standard office equipment including phones, fax machines, printers, and computers on a regular basis.
- • Answer inbound and outbound calls related to patient record requests and administrative inquiries.
- • May assist with patient walk-ins and related administrative support.
- • Perform administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry as required.
- • May schedule pick-ups for physical records or documents.
- • Inform manager of work-related challenges, site difficulties, or fluctuations in workload volume.
- • Assist with additional duties or responsibilities as assigned or evident.
- • Meet productivity expectations as defined by the specific site or location.
- • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software systems used for health information management.
- • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards in all handling, storage, and transmission of patient records.
