• • Join R1 RCM Inc., a leading provider of technology-driven solutions dedicated to transforming the patient experience and financial performance of healthcare organizations. As an HIM Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant disclosure of patient health information, upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and adherence to all state and federal regulations.
• • This is a remote, overnight position, with a shift schedule of Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM. The role demands a high level of focus and dedication to meet the unique challenges of overnight operations.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously process and validate requests for information (ROI), ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete before proceeding with record retrieval.
• • You will be responsible for retrieving patient records, preparing them for disclosure, and documenting each release to guarantee quality and regulatory compliance within stringent timelines.
• • Success in this role hinges on your ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, where turnaround time and quality are paramount.
• • You will collaborate daily with ROI vendors, acting as a key point of contact and escalating issues to HIM leadership when necessary to ensure smooth operations and prompt resolution of any challenges.
• • The work requires an exceptional attention to detail, coupled with a consistent and accurate application of state and federal disclosure statutes governing patient information.
• • A core aspect of this role is safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI), maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times, adhering strictly to HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws.
• • You will actively track and follow up on all outstanding requests, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to reduce risk and continuously improve performance metrics.
