  • • As an HR Business Partner for Flock Safety’s Engineering organization, you will serve as the trusted advisor on critical people matters, ensuring talent decisions are fair, objective, and aligned with the company’s high-performance culture and mission to build safer communities through innovative safety technology.
  • • You will partner directly with engineering leaders to drive clarity, accountability, and momentum by managing performance cycles, employee relations, talent calibrations, promotions, and organizational design — all while maintaining the speed and urgency required in a fast-scaling, high-growth tech environment.
  • • You will monitor and interpret key people metrics — including attrition, engagement, and performance trends — to surface actionable insights that inform leadership decisions and support the long-term health and scalability of the engineering org.
  • • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and People Operations to ensure seamless execution of hiring, leveling, compensation, and employee lifecycle processes, creating consistency and fairness across talent systems.
  • • You will build deep, trust-based relationships with both managers and individual contributors, serving as a steady, pragmatic coach who can navigate complex, high-stakes people challenges with professionalism, direct feedback, and emotional intelligence.
  • • You will help embed structure and repeatability into talent processes without sacrificing velocity, enabling engineering teams to scale effectively while maintaining high bars for performance and accountability.
  • • You will contribute to Flock Safety’s mission-driven culture by upholding core values of ownership, collaboration, and bold thinking, helping to create an environment where top engineering talent can thrive and do their best work.
  • • Over time, you may expand your impact beyond Engineering to support additional teams or international populations as the company scales, growing your influence and expertise across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a high-growth, product- or engineering-driven technology environment
  • • Proven experience partnering with technical or engineering teams, with a strong understanding of how product organizations scale and operate
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations, performance management, and high-stakes talent decisions with sound judgment, objectivity, and discretion
  • • Comfortable using HR data (attrition, engagement, performance trends) to inform recommendations and drive clear, actionable outcomes
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver direct feedback and influence leaders at all levels
  • • Bias toward execution, ownership, and operational excellence, with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
