Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Step into the heart of a global food leader as an HR Business Support Intern at Schreiber Foods, where you’ll spend an entire year partnering directly with the HR Americas Leadership Team to shape the people strategy behind a $7 billion enterprise. This isn’t a “make-copies-and-fetch-coffee” internship—you’ll own real deliverables that influence talent decisions across North America and beyond.
- • Own the data story: gather, clean, and analyze HR metrics from Workday and other sources to populate executive dashboards that track headcount, turnover, diversity, and engagement. Your insights will be presented to VPs who use them to allocate multi-million-dollar budgets and launch new plants.
- • Translate numbers into narrative: craft polished PowerPoint decks, one-page infographics, and training materials that make complex workforce analytics digestible for plant managers, line supervisors, and the CEO alike.
- • Keep our talent engine running smoothly by entering and auditing job requisitions, position codes, and organizational hierarchies in Workday—accuracy you provide ensures payroll, benefits, and compliance systems stay in perfect sync.
- • Serve as the “voice of the intern cohort”: plan onboarding events, coordinate lunch-and-learns with executives, and run the Slack channel that keeps 50+ interns across five continents connected and engaged.
- • Be the guardian of policy: review existing HR policies against federal, state, and local regulations; flag gaps; and partner with Legal to draft updates that protect both our 10,000+ partners and the company brand.
- • Flex your creative writing skills by partnering with plant HR teams to rewrite job descriptions that attract top hourly and salaried talent—your words will appear on Indeed, LinkedIn, and in plant kiosks from Wisconsin to Mexico.
- • Hunt for talent like a pro: use Boolean search strings, social media, and niche job boards to build pipelines of hourly production candidates, then conduct initial phone screens that assess culture fit and availability.
- • Experience the best of both worlds with a flexible hybrid schedule—minimum three days in our vibrant downtown Green Bay Home Office (jeans-friendly, ping-pong tables, free popcorn, and views of Lambeau Field) and the rest from wherever you focus best.
- • Immerse yourself in a culture that calls every employee a “partner.” You’ll sit in on leadership meetings, present findings to senior directors, and receive mentorship from HR VPs who started as interns themselves.
- • Work year-round with part-time hours (15–20 per week) during the academic semesters and full-time (40 hours) during summer and winter breaks—perfect for juniors and seniors who want continuity on their résumé and a seamless transition into a post-grad role.
- • Contribute to global projects: one week you might benchmark parental-leave policies in Canada and Mexico; the next you’ll design a dashboard that tracks engagement scores across five continents. The exposure accelerates your understanding of international HR at a Fortune-level scale.
- • Leave a legacy: every process you improve, report you automate, or candidate you place has a ripple effect on our ability to deliver cream cheese to 60 million households and yogurt drinks to school cafeterias nationwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or related field (sophomore status or higher preferred; Associate’s candidates must plan to pursue a bachelor’s immediately after graduation)
- • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee data and personnel matters
- • Availability to work year-round: part-time during school semesters and full-time during summer and winter breaks
- • Demonstrated analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to learn Workday or similar HCM systems quickly
- • Self-starter attitude with curiosity about global cultures and the drive to work independently in a hybrid environment
- • Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download) for seamless remote collaboration
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive hourly wage of $18.75 plus eligibility for annual company retirement contributions through 401(k) and the Employee Stock Ownership Plan
- • Real-world ownership of projects, direct exposure to senior leadership, and a structured intern program featuring global networking events and executive roundtables
- • Relocation assistance for eligible interns and eight free counseling sessions through the Employee Assistance Program
- • Rewards program for referring future interns or full-time hires, volunteer opportunities in the Green Bay community, and generous discounts on Schreiber’s portfolio of dairy products
