- • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes for employees in the Berlin office, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance with local regulations.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR processes, providing clear and timely support via Slack and in-person channels.
- • Manage and maintain HR documentation and systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with global People team standards and German employment law requirements.
- • Support the coordination of local employment-related administrative tasks including contract management, payroll coordination, and statutory reporting in Germany.
- • Oversee daily office operations in Berlin, including facility management, vendor coordination, supply ordering, and maintenance of a welcoming, well-functioning workspace.
- • Plan and execute office-based employee events and cultural activities to foster team connection, engagement, and a positive in-office experience.
- • Collaborate with the global People team to deliver consistent employee experiences across distributed teams, ensuring remote employees in Berlin feel connected and supported.
- • Act as a liaison between the Berlin office and global HR/Workplace functions, translating local needs into global processes and vice versa.
- • Maintain high standards of responsiveness and professionalism in both in-person and virtual interactions, adapting communication style to suit diverse global stakeholders.
- • Proactively identify and implement improvements to office workflows, employee experience initiatives, and People operations in the Berlin context.
- • Support the coordination of team-building activities, holiday events, and wellness initiatives tailored to the Berlin team while aligning with global company culture.
- • Manage the office budget for amenities, events, and supplies, tracking expenses and ensuring optimal use of allocated resources.
- • Ensure compliance with local German labor regulations and assist in translating global policies into locally appropriate practices.
- • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information and HR-related matters.
- • Assist in the rollout and adoption of new HR tools and platforms by providing localized training and support to Berlin-based employees.
- • Collaborate with Workplace and Facilities teams to ensure the office environment supports productivity, safety, and employee well-being.
- • Support global hiring processes by coordinating logistics for interview loops, visa documentation, and relocation assistance for new hires joining the Berlin office.
- • Track and report on office utilization metrics, employee feedback, and event effectiveness to inform continuous improvement of the Berlin employee experience.
- • Balance and prioritize competing demands from two reporting managers (People and Workplace) while maintaining clarity, consistency, and high service quality.
- • Build trust through reliability, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through on commitments across both physical and virtual work environments.
