  • • As an HR Operations Manager at Directive Consulting LLC, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the human resources function across both Canadian and U.S. operations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • • Day to day, you will manage HRIS systems for employee records, support end-to-end onboarding and offboarding, prepare HR documentation, respond to employee inquiries, process payroll for both countries, administer benefits, ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and state labor laws, track work authorizations and visas, and support employee engagement initiatives and inclusive culture programs.
  • • Directive Consulting is a leading B2B marketing agency with over a decade of experience serving 420+ brands, organized around three divisions—Performance, Communications, and Commerce—unified by the DiscoverabilityOS™ methodology to drive measurable outcomes through data-driven marketing strategies.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cross-border HR operations, strengthen your skills in compliance, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations, while contributing to a people-first culture and gaining exposure to innovative HR practices in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources
  • • Knowledge of a wide range of human resource practices, including compliance, leave management, benefits management, and vendor relationships
  • • Strong knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. HR practices, including federal, provincial, and state employment laws and regulations
  • • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, and benefits administration
  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
