  • • As an HRIS Specialist at Aderant, you will be instrumental in ensuring our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is a robust, secure, and efficient platform that directly supports our organizational strategy and the evolving needs of our workforce. This pivotal role acts as a crucial bridge between the HR department, the IT infrastructure, and the broader business units, translating complex organizational and employee requirements into user-friendly, scalable system solutions. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing workforce planning, maintaining compliance, and empowering informed decision-making across the company.
  • • Your primary focus will be on the administration and configuration of Workday, our core HR system. This includes deep engagement with key modules such as Human Capital Management (HCM), Compensation, Recruiting and Onboarding, Absence Management, and the Business Process Framework. You will also play a role in preparing our systems for future enhancements, including potential integrations with Payroll and Global Absence Management functionalities, ensuring Aderant remains at the cutting edge of HR technology.
  • • A significant part of your responsibility will involve the meticulous configuration and ongoing maintenance of business processes and security roles within Workday, adhering strictly to established governance protocols. You will execute configuration changes with a high degree of system discipline, ensuring thorough testing and validation in Sandbox environments before deploying any updates to the production tenant. This meticulous approach guarantees system integrity and minimizes disruption.
  • • You will be the champion for Workday releases, leading the charge for our bi-annual updates. This involves a comprehensive process of reviewing release notes to identify impactful new features, developing adoption plans, conducting rigorous testing, updating documentation, and managing the rollout of selected functionalities to our user base. Furthermore, you will proactively track and assess upcoming Workday enhancements, evaluating their potential for future implementation to continuously improve our HR ecosystem.
  • • Collaboration is key in this role. You will partner closely with the HRIS and Data Analytics teams to support a wide range of reporting, dashboard creation, and data management needs. This support extends from day-to-day operational requirements to significant annual projects, ensuring that accurate and timely data is available for strategic initiatives.
  • • You will be responsible for building, testing, and loading Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), and will actively participate in data audits, reconciliations, and the resolution of any data-related issues that may arise. Maintaining the highest standards of data integrity will be paramount.
  • • Owning and maintaining comprehensive documentation is a core function. This includes detailed records of system configurations, standard operating procedures for annual HR processes, and documentation for system enhancements. You will also be tasked with developing practical knowledge articles, engaging training materials, and concise demonstration videos to empower our HR partners and end-users, fostering self-sufficiency and maximizing system utilization.
  • • Your ability to collaborate effectively with HR, IT, and various business partners will be essential. You will navigate and adhere to established governance and escalation paths, ensuring seamless communication and problem-solving. Clear, proactive communication is expected, including seeking clarification when necessary and actively contributing to team priorities, with a particular focus on helping to reduce the existing backlog of tasks and requests.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of HR technology at Aderant, directly impacting employee experience, process efficiency, and the company's strategic agility. By ensuring our HR systems are optimized and aligned with our business goals, you will contribute significantly to Aderant's mission of helping law firms and professional services organizations run better businesses through innovative software solutions.
  • • You will be a key player in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our HRIS function, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and enhancing user experience. Your insights and technical skills will be crucial in adapting our systems to meet the dynamic needs of a global, industry-leading software company committed to innovation and client success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2-4 years of hands-on Workday administration experience, including direct experience configuring, testing, and implementing Workday within a production environment.
  • • Proven experience with Workday's Business Process Framework, module-specific configuration, security framework concepts, custom reporting, calculated fields, and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for data loads.
  • • A solid understanding of general technology concepts, system lifecycles, and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving within complex systems.
  • • Demonstrated ability to leverage Workday Community as a primary resource for research and issue resolution, coupled with a high attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through on tasks.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • • Opportunity to work with a global, industry-leading software company driving innovation in the legal tech space.
  • • Be part of a culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and personal growth, encouraging employees to bring their whole selves to work.
  • • Contribute to a mission focused on helping professional services organizations run better businesses through advanced technology solutions.
