Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect, build, and continuously refine enterprise-grade websites and digital experiences on HubSpot CMS (Content Hub) that serve as the primary growth engine for Fortune-1000, mid-market, and high-growth clients. You will own the full technical lifecycle—from initial discovery workshops and technical scoping through pixel-perfect launch and iterative optimization—ensuring every line of code advances measurable business KPIs such as lead velocity, pipeline influence, and customer lifetime value.
- • Design and maintain a library of reusable, accessibility-compliant HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and custom modules using HUBL, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Leverage React to craft dynamic, interactive components that personalize content in real time based on CRM data, behavioral triggers, and AI-driven recommendations, pushing the boundaries of what is possible inside the HubSpot ecosystem.
- • Lead complex website migrations and green-field rebuilds, orchestrating phased rollouts that minimize SEO disruption and maintain zero-downtime SLAs. You will create detailed technical roadmaps, estimate effort with 90 %+ accuracy, and coordinate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, deployment, and rollback procedures.
- • Optimize every asset for Core Web Vitals, ADA/WCAG 2.1 accessibility, and global performance budgets (<1.5 s LCP, <100 ms TTI). You will run Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and HubSpot’s built-in performance tools daily, then refactor code, compress assets, and fine-tune server-side rendering to keep client sites in Google’s top percentile.
- • Partner with award-winning UI/UX designers to translate Figma prototypes into responsive, mobile-first interfaces that feel native on any device. You will conduct pixel audits, maintain design-token systems, and champion a component-driven workflow that accelerates future builds and enforces brand consistency at scale.
- • Integrate HubSpot with external data sources—CRM objects, ERP endpoints, e-commerce catalogs, and AI micro-services—via secure REST/GraphQL APIs. You will map data schemas, handle edge-case caching, and implement graceful fallbacks so that dynamic pages load instantly even when third-party services hiccup.
- • Establish and evangelize front-end best practices across SmartBug’s 250-person remote team: ESLint/Prettier configs, Git branching strategies, semantic commit conventions, and automated accessibility checks in GitHub Actions. You will mentor junior developers through pair programming and code-review rituals that level-up collective expertise.
- • Stay ahead of HubSpot product releases and roadmap announcements, piloting beta features in sandbox environments and translating technical changelogs into actionable guidance for strategists and clients. You will present quarterly tech talks and publish thought-leadership posts that reinforce SmartBug’s position as the most decorated HubSpot agency worldwide.
- • Champion experimentation and growth marketing by embedding A/B testing hooks, personalization tokens, and progressive profiling directly into modules. You will collaborate with revenue operations to instrument analytics events that feed attribution models and enable closed-loop reporting for every campaign.
- • Uphold rigorous QA standards through automated unit tests (Jest), cross-browser/device validation (BrowserStack), and end-to-end regression suites (Cypress). You will triage and resolve defects within SLA windows, document root-cause analyses, and implement preventive measures that continuously raise the quality bar.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of professional front-end development and 2+ years hands-on HubSpot CMS experience, including dynamic pages, blogs, and landing pages
- • Expert-level proficiency in HUBL, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and React for module development
- • Demonstrated ability to translate UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, and SEO-optimized interfaces
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, plus experience with Git, build tools (Webpack, Babel), and Agile Scrum/Kanban
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote, work-from-anywhere flexibility with a distributed team of 250+ professionals
- • Competitive salary range of $70,000–$85,000 annually
- • Opportunity to work on award-winning projects for marquee B2B and B2C brands
- • Continuous learning stipend and access to the latest HubSpot betas and AI-powered tools
