📋 Description

• As an Identity Senior Solution Specialist - On-Premises & Hybrid Access at Okta, you will be part of the Global Presales team, serving as a trusted advisor to customers by delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions that secure complex on-premises environments like SAP, Oracle EBS, and custom web apps using Okta Access Gateway (OAG).
• Day to day, you will lead technical discovery sessions with infrastructure and security leaders to uncover challenges in legacy WAM stacks (e.g., CA Siteminder, PingAccess, OAM), design and execute outcome-focused Proof of Concepts (POCs) for header-based applications and ERP systems, create reusable demonstration systems and documentation, and provide strategic technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta’s identity platforms.
• You will join the Global Presales organization at Okta, a diverse team of Solutions Engineers, the Office of the Field CTO, Alliances, and Architects who combine deep technical expertise with strategic business insight to empower organizations to address their unique identity needs through empathy, collaboration, and a relentless focus on customer success.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in legacy WAM and hybrid identity ecosystems, influence industry standards as a thought leader, contribute to product innovation by partnering with OFCTO teams, and build impact through keynote presentations, webinars, and cross-functional collaboration that drives Okta’s differentiation and business impact.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level understanding of legacy Web Access Management (WAM) tools such as CA Siteminder, Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and PingAccess
• Proficiency in managing identity synchronization and access between on-premises environments (Active Directory, LDAP) and the cloud
• Mastery of Kerberos, header-based authentication, and bridging to modern protocols like OIDC/SAML
• Hands-on experience securing and integrating enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and PeopleSoft
• Strong understanding of reverse proxies, load balancers, SSL/TLS termination, certificate management, and on-premises network security
• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience contributing to technical events
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites
