Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join NECSWS at a pivotal moment of expansion in our Housing Team. We have secured multiple high-value contracts with forward-thinking social landlords who are upgrading, migrating, or implementing our flagship NEC Housing Management System. As an Implementation & Training Consultant specialising in the Allocations & Housing Advice/Homelessness modules, you will be the face of the product to these customers, ensuring they extract maximum value from day one.
- • You will begin your journey in a structured, mentor-led programme. A senior Lead Implementation Consultant will personally coach you through real customer projects, allowing you to shadow complex configuration sessions, observe best-practice training delivery, and gradually take ownership of discrete workstreams. Within 3–6 months you will be running your own end-to-end implementations, from initial discovery workshops through go-live and post-implementation optimisation.
- • Your core mission is to translate business requirements into robust system design. You will configure the Allocations module to reflect each customer’s unique lettings policy, banding structures, statutory homelessness workflows, and local lettings plans. This involves deep-dive sessions with lettings managers, homelessness officers, and IT leads, followed by precise configuration in the back-end, iterative testing, and sign-off.
- • Training is where your impact becomes visible. You will design and deliver blended learning programmes—remote via Microsoft Teams (often recorded for future reference) and occasionally on-site for larger user groups. Sessions range from 30-minute micro-learning for frontline officers to full-day super-user bootcamps. You will create role-specific user guides, quick-reference cards, and e-learning modules that remain live resources long after go-live.
- • Beyond go-live, you remain the trusted advisor. Quarterly optimisation reviews, new release walkthroughs, and ad-hoc consultancy calls keep customers engaged and ensure the system evolves with regulatory changes such as the Homelessness Reduction Act or new Choice-Based Lettings guidance. Your ability to translate statutory updates into practical system tweaks is a key differentiator.
- • Internally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our methodology. You will document reusable configuration templates, update the central knowledge base, and feed real-world insights into our product roadmap. Your voice influences how the Allocations module develops, ensuring it stays ahead of sector needs.
- • Travel is occasional but purposeful—typically 1–2 days per month to customer sites for discovery workshops, training launch events, or strategic steering groups. All travel is planned well in advance, fully expensed, and balanced with remote work to maintain work-life harmony.
- • Success in this role is measured through customer Net Promoter Score (NPS), project delivery timelines, and the speed with which users become self-sufficient. You will have clear KPIs, regular 1:1s with your Lead Consultant, and access to a £1,000 annual professional-development budget to deepen your housing-sector expertise or gain additional training certifications.
