- • Manage the end-to-end implementation of R1’s technology solutions for hospitals, health systems, and medical groups, ensuring alignment with business goals and successful deployment.
- • Define project success criteria and communicate them clearly to all stakeholders, including project managers, sponsors, team members, and clients.
- • Establish, document, and enforce standardized project management policies, lifecycles, and best practices across the organization.
- • Develop and implement formal methodologies for tracking project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and key performance metrics.
- • Analyze status reports from project managers, identify problem areas, and proactively mitigate risks to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- • Negotiate with department managers to secure necessary personnel and resources for project teams from within the company.
- • Indirectly guide and oversee project managers within the PMO portfolio, providing direction and ensuring consistent execution.
- • Create tools and frameworks for project planning, execution, communication, and ongoing milestone tracking to improve efficiency and accountability.
- • Review budget proposals and recommend adjustments based on project scope, resource needs, and financial constraints.
- • Assess change requests, requirements documentation, and status updates to maintain smooth project progression and minimize disruptions.
- • Conduct postmortem analyses of completed projects to identify successful practices and areas for improvement, producing actionable recommendations.
- • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team leads, members, and contractors to foster accountability, positive performance, and professional growth.
- • Identify and resolve conflicts within and between project teams to maintain collaboration and alignment across departments.
- • Communicate project management standards and techniques to training staff to ensure organizational-wide adoption and consistency.
- • Travel up to 10% as required by project assignments to support client implementations and team engagements.
- • Ensure all project activities comply with R1’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and positive ROI for healthcare clients.

- • Demonstrated experience in project management within a technology-driven healthcare or revenue cycle environment
- • Proven ability to define project success criteria and communicate expectations clearly to diverse stakeholders
- • Strong skills in developing and implementing project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- • Experience negotiating for internal resources and managing indirect teams or project managers
- • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks
- • Ability to analyze project data, status reports, and budgets to drive informed decision-making
