📋 Description
- • Develop PLC programs from scratch, including ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text, based on process requirements and control narratives.
- • Program primarily in Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal (S7-300/400/1200/1500); Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000) or other platforms also welcome.
- • Design and build I/O configurations, data structures, and program architecture for new control systems.
- • Integrate HMI/SCADA screens with PLC programs and configure tag databases.
- • Commission, test, and debug programs on-site, including I/O checkout and loop tuning.
- • Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and panel layouts to inform program design.
- • Coordinate with electricians and controls technicians on I/O wiring, sensor installation, and panel integration.
- • Troubleshoot control system issues in the field with minimal supervision.
- • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.
- • Document program logic, I/O lists, and system architecture for handoff.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience programming PLCs from scratch (not solely modifying or troubleshooting existing programs).
- • Strong, hands-on experience with Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal — this is a strong preference for this role.
- • Willing to consider candidates with equivalent from-scratch programming experience in Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000) or other major PLC platforms (e.g., Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider).
