📋 Description

• As a Senior Information Security Architect at Aspora, you will play a critical role in safeguarding a borderless financial operating system that enables secure, transparent money movement for users across the globe. Your work will directly support the company’s mission to redefine global banking by ensuring that security is not a barrier to innovation but a foundational enabler of trust, compliance, and scalability in a highly regulated fintech environment.
• You will design and implement robust, zero-trust security architectures tailored to Aspora’s AWS-based digital banking platform, ensuring protection of sensitive financial and personal data while maintaining the agility needed for rapid product development in a high-growth startup setting.
• Day to day, you will architect field-level encryption for PCI/PII data, manage cryptographic keys and envelope encryption patterns, and design secure hybrid cloud connectivity between AWS and on-premise datacenters using one-way trust models to protect vendor integrations.
• You will implement identity-first access controls, including service-to-service authentication, zero standing production access, and time-bound session mechanisms, while building SIEM and detection systems with comprehensive logging strategies for forensic integrity and cross-layer correlation.
• You will harden and maintain next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), integrate them into workloads, and establish security observability to enable real-time threat detection and response.
• You will own end-to-end vulnerability management, leading asset discovery, risk assessment, remediation tracking, and crisis response for zero-day threats like Log4j, while driving incident response and disaster recovery efforts including DR drills, regulatory notifications, and post-incident validation.
• You will partner closely with Application and Infrastructure teams to translate SecOps requirements into actionable security solutions, identify gaps, and initiate strategic improvements aligned with business objectives.
• You will balance security needs with product velocity by advocating for compensating controls, documenting risk trade-offs, and anticipating architectural breaking points to ensure systems scale to support 10× organizational growth.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in financial-grade cloud security, gain hands-on experience with PCI-DSS and ISO 27001 compliance in real production environments, and evolve into a strategic security leader capable of influencing both technology and business decisions in a high-stakes fintech landscape.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on production AWS security experience in regulated or financial services environments
• Proven implementation experience with PCI-DSS or other financial regulatory compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated leadership in incident response and disaster recovery drills using real production scenarios
• Experience building security programs from the ground up in startup or high-growth environments
• Deep expertise in encryption architecture, key management systems, and cryptographic controls
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification
• PCI-DSS certification (QSA, ISA, or P2PE)
