- • Perform collection and organization of compliance evidence to support SOC 2 and other framework audits, helping deliver an exception-free audit through meticulous tracking and preparation.
- • Configure and maintain security and compliance monitoring systems, reducing false-positive alerts through improved tuning, alerting workflows, and ongoing system optimization.
- • Track and coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts to eliminate breached remediation SLAs and improve security program accountability by ensuring timely follow-up and cross-functional alignment.
- • Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation required for regulatory frameworks (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001) and internal security standards, ensuring they remain current, accurate, and actionable.
- • Support cross-functional security and compliance initiatives that improve Scribe’s overall security posture and enterprise readiness, acting as a bridge between technical, legal, and commercial teams.
- • Work in a remote-first environment with flexibility to hybridize 2-3 days per week at the San Francisco HQ, enabling collaboration while respecting individual work preferences.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven culture where security is viewed not as a checkbox but as a foundation for trust, enabling Scribe to scale securely with enterprise customers.
- • Develop deep expertise in operational security, compliance frameworks, and security program management in a high-growth SaaS environment, gaining experience that is directly transferable to senior roles in security operations, GRC, or enterprise risk management.
- • Build credibility as a trusted advisor who translates complex security requirements into clear, actionable insights for customers, legal, and sales teams, enhancing both internal efficiency and external trust.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- • 2+ years of experience in security operations, compliance, GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), or audit support, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
- • Hands-on experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks, including evidence collection, control testing, and audit preparation.
- • Proficiency with security monitoring and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, AWS GuardDuty) and vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7).
- • Strong documentation and process improvement skills, with experience maintaining security policies, procedures, and runbooks.
- • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly with Security, Legal, and Sales teams.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 based on geographic tier, plus equity participation in a fast-growing, venture-backed startup valued at over $1 billion.
