  • • As an Information Security Analyst I at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, you will play a vital role in safeguarding sensitive patient and institutional data by supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems that protect critical healthcare information in a remote, full-time capacity.
  • • Your contributions will directly support the hospital’s mission to improve children’s health by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data systems that underpin clinical care, research, and administrative operations.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in the design, development, and implementation of security systems to protect CCHMC data; identifying resources needed for small to mid-sized projects; supporting communication between internal and external stakeholders; and assisting in the development and management of project plans.
  • • You will analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex systems that enhance clinical care and patient management; support system testing; document testing outcomes; develop technical solutions; and create or update user and technical documentation using established development lifecycle processes.
  • • Provide technical support and problem resolution for production and process issues; troubleshoot error messages; identify required resources to resolve minor to midsized incidents; apply appropriate Change Control methods; and serve as a liaison between departments and Information Services to improve customer satisfaction.
  • • Participate in on-call support rotations to handle incident resolution, problem determination, and resolution during assigned shifts; monitor system performance and functionality to prevent potential issues; and gather data for future development needs or feasibility studies.
  • • Ensure outstanding end-user support by monitoring Service Level Agreements for incident management; collaborate with teams to ensure customer-centered support; adhere to and promote change management policies; and model timely, effective follow-up with customers.
  • • Engage in professional development through cross-training, literature review, department meetings, and vendor education; build positive internal and external relationships; motivate teamwork; prepare and deliver oral and written presentations; conduct instructional seminars; and develop expertise in multiple Cincinnati Children’s computer-based systems.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • • 0+ years of experience in a related job discipline (entry-level consideration)
  • • Foundational understanding of information security principles, including incident response, change control, and system analysis
  • • Ability to document technical processes, test outcomes, and user/technical documentation clearly and accurately
  • • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams
  • • Capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and support a positive, team-oriented environment
