📋 Description

• Support information security and digital operational resilience governance across Seccl’s technology teams and departments.
• Assist in facilitating information security risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats to systems and operations.
• Contribute to digital operational resilience initiatives by reviewing and updating incident response plans and business continuity strategies.
• Conduct due diligence assessments to ensure third-party vendors and internal processes meet security and resilience standards.
• Maintain and improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, including GDPR and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Promote awareness of information security and operational resilience across the organization through communication and training support.
• Act as a first point of contact for teams seeking guidance on security practices, risk management, and resilience protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how technology is used across departments and advise on secure and resilient implementation.
• Support the Head of Information Security and Data Protection Officer in executing the 2nd Line of Defence responsibilities.
• Engage in continuous learning to develop expertise in cybersecurity, technology risk, and operational resilience without requiring prior technical experience.
• Take initiative in identifying gaps in security or resilience processes and propose practical improvements.
• Work in a hybrid model, splitting time between Seccl’s Edinburgh office and remote work, with flexibility to work abroad for up to six weeks annually.
• Participate in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment where ambiguity and change are constants, requiring adaptability and proactive problem-solving.
• Apply learned technical concepts in real business contexts under mentorship from senior security and compliance leaders.
• Contribute to a culture of transparency, inclusion, and experimentation where curiosity and ownership are valued over rigid top-down direction.

• Salary between £32,000 and £40,000, reviewed annually
