- • The Information Security Intern supports the Information Security Office (ISO) by monitoring the effectiveness of security controls and helping define new operational capabilities to protect enterprise information assets.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include performing security assessments, reviewing control effectiveness, responding to cyber incidents, building scripts/queries to assess security posture, providing regular reporting to senior staff, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, assisting with security incidents, developing continuous audit practices, maintaining awareness of the cyber threat landscape, communicating risks and best practices, and supporting internal phishing engagements and vulnerability management.
- • The role is part of the Information Security team at the Center for Internet Security, Inc. (CIS), a mission-driven organization dedicated to making the connected world a safer place through collaboration, inclusivity, and adherence to security best practices.
- • The intern will gain hands-on experience in operational security, compliance monitoring, incident response, and security automation while developing technical and communication skills in a remote, mission-focused environment.
