As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Distyl, you will be instrumental in constructing and fortifying the bedrock of our AI platform, Distillery. This is a deeply hands-on position, demanding an engineer with both the extensive breadth and specialized depth required to architect, build, and maintain secure, highly scalable, and effortlessly deployable infrastructure.
• • Your primary mission will be to ensure the unwavering reliability and performance of our AI platform across a spectrum of customer-hosted environments, encompassing both cloud and on-premises deployments. You will transcend the traditional role of system maintenance, taking on the critical responsibility of architecting, evolving, and optimizing the core infrastructure and sophisticated pipelines that underpin our AI-native applications. These applications are designed for deployment within the complex ecosystems of Fortune 500 enterprises.

• • **Key Responsibilities:**
• • **Design & Operate Cloud-Native Infrastructure:** Architect, implement, and manage resilient, scalable, and secure deployments across diverse cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments. This involves leveraging state-of-the-art technologies such as Kubernetes, serverless frameworks, and modern microservices architectures, ensuring the underlying infrastructure is robust and future-proof.
• • **Evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC):** Spearhead the development and refinement of modular, version-controlled Terraform and GitOps configurations. Your work will guarantee consistency, repeatability, and accelerated deployment cycles across multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructures, minimizing manual intervention and reducing the potential for errors.
• • **Advance Automation & CI/CD:** Drive our comprehensive automation strategy by building, enhancing, and maintaining sophisticated CI/CD pipelines. These pipelines will facilitate rapid, reliable, and secure deployments of our AI applications. You will apply cutting-edge practices like GitOps and utilize a variety of industry-leading build and deployment tools, including Gradle, Bazel, Flux, Helm, and GitHub Actions, to significantly reduce operational overhead and increase developer velocity.
• • **Embed Security & Compliance:** Proactively integrate robust security measures into every layer of the infrastructure. This includes implementing and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, secure secrets management solutions, and ensuring secure service-to-service communication protocols are established and maintained, adhering to enterprise-grade security standards.
• • **Drive Observability & Reliability:** Establish and champion best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting. You will implement and manage comprehensive observability solutions using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to ensure our systems are not only performant and secure but also meet the stringent reliability requirements of enterprise clients.
• • **AgentOps & AI Tooling:** Design, build, and manage the critical infrastructure components that power our advanced AI systems. This encompasses architecting sophisticated AI toolchains, facilitating complex agent integrations, and orchestrating the deployment of AI agents in production environments, ensuring seamless operation and scalability.
