📋 Description

• Infrastructure Engineer (Contract – LATAM) at Nexus Mutual, supporting the deployment and maintenance of distributed infrastructure powering the Nexus Layer 1 blockchain and high-performance exchange.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in optimizing transaction pipelines for speed and reliability, contributing to secure, production-grade systems, maintaining high-availability infrastructure across cloud and distributed environments, and learning and applying best practices for observability, reliability, and secure operations.
• Nexus Mutual is a cross-continental team headquartered in San Francisco with a growing presence in Buenos Aires, building verifiable finance infrastructure to unify global financial systems on a single blockchain, backed by leading investors and working with over 100 partners.
• The role offers the opportunity to grow a career working on infrastructure at the heart of a global execution system, from public testnet through mainnet, with the chance to ramp up on internal tooling, contribute meaningfully within the first month, and develop expertise in high-performance benchmarking and infrastructure tuning.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with some exposure to infrastructure or distributed systems
• Working knowledge of Rust, Go, or another systems language
• Basic understanding of distributed systems concepts (consensus, fault tolerance, latency)
• Hands-on experience with Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus
• Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
• Basic experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Eagerness to learn secure, fault-tolerant infrastructure practices
• Good written and spoken Business English
