📋 Description

• SRE / Network Engineer (MAAS) role focused on maintaining and scaling bare-metal infrastructure for a European deep-tech company building a decentralized, energy-efficient cloud alternative.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing Linux-based systems (Debian/Ubuntu), configuring hardware-level components (BIOS, IPMI, RAID), designing scalable networks with VLANs and UniFi equipment, automating provisioning via Ansible and MAAS, and maintaining observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Graylog.
• The team operates within a fast-paced, autonomous environment supporting a sovereign, high-performance compute platform serving modern workloads across distributed bare-metal sites.
• You will gain deep expertise in infrastructure automation, bare-metal orchestration, and decentralized cloud technologies while contributing to a mission-driven project reshaping the future of cloud infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level Linux administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
• Strong MAAS / Ironic / bare-metal automation experience (mandatory)
• Excellent networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, VPNs
• Infrastructure as Code (Ansible), scripting (Bash/Python), GitOps
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog)
• Proven experience with OpenStack, Proxmox VE, or VMware ESXi
