• • Senior Software Engineer — AI Foundation in Financial Technology role at Hopper Inc., contributing to the core mission of redefining travel for over 100 million monthly active users by building and scaling machine learning systems that power Hopper’s pricing engine, directly impacting revenue, financial risk management, and customer experience across key partners like Capital One, Air Canada, and Spirit Airlines.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing automated, reusable model training pipelines; developing ETL pipelines with thoughtful feature engineering for clean, reliable inputs; building and deploying real-time machine learning pricing solutions from model to production; monitoring production systems for latency, drift, and training-serving skew; conducting champion-challenger tests on pricing levers and product construction; and collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• • The Fintech Foundation team is central to Hopper’s innovation, operating at the intersection of travel and financial technology, powering B2B solutions through Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS), which drives over 75% of the company’s business by enabling travel partners to integrate Hopper’s fintech products into their direct channels.
