Operating remotely from your dedicated home office, your core responsibilities will revolve around the virtual assessment of property damages, thorough investigation of insurance policy coverage, precise preparation of damage estimates, and the prompt and accurate settlement of insurance claims. This role demands a high level of interaction with customers, external contractors, and various vendors, facilitated through advanced software platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Communication will be multi-channel, encompassing voice calls, email, and text messaging, ensuring policyholders receive timely and clear updates.
- • You will embody the role of a Customer Service Expert, deeply integrating into Allstate’s Claims Culture. This means demonstrating genuine care, empowering policyholders through clear communication and support, and actively working towards restoring their sense of security. Your approach will be characterized by empathy, clarity, and a commitment to being a trusted partner throughout the property claims process. Leading with empathy is paramount in every interaction.
- • As an Investigator, you will confidently and independently delve into property claims. This involves meticulously reviewing damage reports, interpreting complex policy language to accurately determine coverage, and gathering all necessary information to support claim resolution. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing the scope of damage and aligning it with policy provisions.
- • You will function as an Effective Communicator, leveraging phone, email, and video conferencing tools to guide customers through a claims process designed to be fast, fair, and easy. A specific, customer-centric approach to claim handling will be employed, offering policyholders their preferred communication methods to efficiently discuss their needs and maintain consistent updates on claim progress. This ensures transparency and builds trust.
- • The role also requires you to be a skilled Negotiator. You will evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and other claimants, adhering strictly to all legal requirements and established business methodologies. This involves employing effective negotiation tactics, particularly when navigating challenging and complex claim situations, aiming for mutually agreeable resolutions.
- • You will be a proactive Problem Solver, adept at utilizing a suite of tools to manage a high volume of claims in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This includes mastering estimate tools, leveraging job aids, and utilizing additional settlement platforms, all while applying sharp critical thinking skills to overcome obstacles and ensure efficient claim processing.
- • As a meticulous Recorder, you will safeguard the company's financial interests by diligently executing policies in accordance with policy agreements. You will maintain a clear, comprehensive record of all claim-related activities within the designated claims system, for which you will receive thorough training. Ensuring timely and accurate documentation is a critical aspect of this role, reflecting the integrity and thoroughness of your work.
- • The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM EST, with rotational Saturday duty. This role requires a commitment to serving customers during their times of need, which may necessitate working some weekends and extended hours beyond the standard schedule.
- • This position is not available to residents of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico.
- • A critical aspect of this role involves obtaining necessary adjuster and/or appraiser licenses as required by your office or area. This process includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If licensing is required, you will be expected to secure the necessary license(s) within 60 days of your hire date.
