As an Inside Sales Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in empowering law enforcement agencies, local governments, and educational institutions with cutting-edge drone solutions that enhance community safety and operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to drive significant revenue growth in a market experiencing unprecedented demand, fueled by the FCC's phasing out of foreign-made drones and the widespread adoption of Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs.
  • • In this dynamic role, you will own a dedicated geographic territory comprising public safety agencies with 1-40 sworn officers, alongside their associated local governments and smaller educational institutions. Your primary objective will be to generate new business through a strategic blend of proactive outbound prospecting, efficient inbound lead response, and leveraging warm introductions from our valued channel partners. This position offers a dual-faceted approach to sales, catering to both transactional and strategic opportunities.
  • • On the transactional front, you will manage fast-paced, high-volume sales cycles, guiding agencies new to UAV technology through the procurement process and ensuring they can quickly deploy Skydio's autonomous drones. This involves understanding their immediate needs and demonstrating the value proposition of our solutions in a concise and impactful manner.
  • • The strategic dimension of this role focuses on identifying and pursuing larger, more complex Drone as First Responder (DFR) opportunities. These deals require a consultative selling approach, involving multi-threaded engagement across various stakeholders, meticulous project management, and a deep understanding of the agency's long-term vision for drone integration.   • • A key aspect of your role will be developing and executing a strategic plan to identify, engage, and create opportunities with high-propensity accounts. You will build a robust pipeline to consistently meet and exceed your sales targets, holding direct accountability for quarterly and annual performance.
  • • Cultivating a deep understanding of your customers' businesses, workflows, and pain points is paramount. This insight will enable you to position Skydio's solutions as indispensable tools for enhancing public safety and operational effectiveness.
  • • You will champion customer satisfaction, fostering strong relationships and developing a comprehensive contact network within each account.   • • Gathering and disseminating competitive intelligence on competitor activities to the marketing team will provide valuable market insights.
