• • The Instructional Specialist, Multilingual Learning at BrainPOP LLC provides pedagogical leadership for developing research-based, culturally responsive, and scaffolded content for multilingual learners in K-8 settings, ensuring alignment with national and state English Language Development standards.
• • Day to day, the role involves leading instructional design for English language acquisition, developing model activities with scaffolding tools like graphic organizers and sentence frames, partnering with product and engineering teams on UX for emerging bilingual students, creating alignment documentation, developing quality rubrics, facilitating internal workshops on ML education trends, and reviewing content for cultural and linguistic accessibility.
• • BrainPOP is a trusted digital learning platform used in over two-thirds of U.S. school districts, reaching approximately 25 million students annually, and was acquired in 2022 by KIRKBI, the LEGO family’s investment company, to expand its impact in digital education.
• • In this role, the person will deepen expertise in multilingual education standards, influence product design for equity and access, lead internal capacity-building on emerging research like the Science of Reading for MLs, and contribute to thought leadership through white papers and educator-facing materials that support district adoption.
