  • • As an Insurance Advisor-West Tennessee with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, you will serve as a trusted advisor who resolves member needs on first contact, guides consumers through health plan decisions, and drives enrollment and sales across health, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity products—directly impacting community access to coverage and member satisfaction.
  • • Day to day, you will deliver first-contact resolution for member inquiries by explaining benefits, researching claims, assisting with plan selection, supporting tool usage, processing premium payments, and connecting members to community resources; proactively educate consumers on Marketplace options through informational sessions and one-on-one Healthcare.gov enrollment support; sell a portfolio of insurance products; and develop and execute targeted community engagement campaigns with leaders, businesses, retirement communities, nursing homes, and minority groups to increase center traffic and trust.
  • • You will join a mission-driven team at BCBST committed to innovation, equity, and community health, where AI-enabled tools are responsibly used to enhance service delivery and where your work directly supports members in making informed coverage choices across Tennessee, with a focus on the West Tennessee region.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in health insurance products, consultative sales, Medicare and Marketplace regulations, and community outreach—building transferable skills in customer service, sales strategy, and public engagement while contributing to measurable outcomes in enrollment growth, first-contact resolution, and community health access.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • • 3 years of experience in a support function or customer service role
  • • Active TN Life and Health insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • • Medicare Certification (AHIP) or Certification to sell Qualified Health Plans (or ability to obtain within 90 days and maintain annually)
  • • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and 24-hour on-call availability
  • • Willingness to travel 100% across Tennessee, with preference for candidates located in the Memphis area
