- • Insurance Authorization Specialist at Sailor Health, a company revolutionizing mental health care for older adults in the U.S., ensuring access to care by managing insurance processes critical to patient onboarding.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end execution of Single Case Agreements (SCAs), submitting and tracking Prior Authorizations (PAs), communicating with insurance payers, gathering clinical documentation, maintaining records in EHR/CRM systems, identifying and escalating delays, partnering with clinical and billing teams, and improving workflows for faster approvals.
- • The role is part of a small, mission-driven, remote-first team focused on expanding mental health access to underserved seniors, where the specialist directly impacts how quickly patients can begin care.
- • The specialist will gain deep expertise in U.S. healthcare payer systems, develop skills in insurance negotiation and authorization processes, contribute to scalable operations in a growing healthcare startup, and grow professionally through ownership of critical patient access workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience with Single Case Agreements (SCAs) is mandatory
- • Experience with Prior Authorizations (PAs) is mandatory
- • Detail-oriented and highly organized work style
- • Experience working with U.S. healthcare payers
- • Ability to gather and organize clinical documentation for insurance submissions
- • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records in systems such as EHR or CRM
