- • Analyze pet insurance portfolio performance by evaluating earned premium, loss ratios, frequency/severity trends, rate adequacy, and underwriting performance to identify profit and growth opportunities.
- • Develop and enhance KPI reporting tools and dashboards to support carrier and MGA decision-making, including metrics for rate actions, retention, claims trends, and regulatory compliance.
- • Serve as a subject matter expert on pet insurance contracts, rating structures, underwriting guidelines, and state-specific product variations across North America.
- • Work with structured data from multiple systems including policy administration, claims, rating engines, and distribution partners to generate accurate, actionable analytics.
- • Conduct deep-dive analyses on emerging issues such as loss spikes, rate needs, regulatory changes, or underwriting leakage to inform strategic adjustments.
- • Collaborate closely with Actuarial and Underwriting teams to evaluate rate indications, monitor product performance, and support regulatory filings, form updates, and pricing changes.
- • Support ongoing product maintenance by monitoring regulatory requirements, state-specific compliance rules, and impacts from Department of Insurance (DOI) actions on product strategy.
- • Provide data-driven recommendations on product strategy, pricing actions, underwriting adjustments, and market opportunities based on analytical trends and portfolio health.
- • Translate complex insurance analytics into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders across Product Management, Actuarial, and Compliance teams.
- • Ensure all product analyses align with carrier and MGA strategic objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance and competitive positioning in the pet insurance market.
- • Maintain data integrity across systems and ensure analytical outputs are reliable, repeatable, and aligned with internal reporting standards.
- • Contribute to the development of new insurance products by validating pricing assumptions, assessing risk exposure, and identifying opportunities for innovation in pet health coverage.
- • Monitor and report on the impact of regulatory changes on existing products and recommend proactive adjustments to maintain compliance and market relevance.
