- • The Insurance Verify Associate I role at R1 RCM Inc. is critical to minimizing financial risk for hospitals and patients by ensuring accurate insurance verification, eligibility, and authorization processes. This position directly supports the company’s mission to transform the patient experience and financial performance of healthcare providers through technology-driven revenue cycle solutions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include initiating contact with insurance companies via phone, fax, or web portals to verify benefits and eligibility; submitting and following up on pre-certification, authorization, and retro-authorization requests; collaborating with care management teams to obtain clinical information; completing detailed electronic documentation for clean claim processing; identifying and correcting inaccurate insurance plan codes; maintaining HIPAA compliance; and communicating professionally with patients, physicians, and internal stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements
- • At least one (1) year of similar experience in patient-facing Registration Complete or insurance verification roles
- • Excellent customer service skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
- • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally with clinical and administrative staff
- • Professional communication skills when interacting with patients, physician offices, and insurance payers
- • Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA compliance requirements and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- • Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic health records, and insurance verification portals
