📋 Description

• Develop and maintain software integrations with Smart TV manufacturers and platform partners to enable Samba TV’s ACR (Automatic Content Recognition) technology to operate at scale on consumer devices worldwide.
• Collaborate directly with hardware and software teams from TV OEMs and platform providers to implement, test, and deploy embedded software solutions that capture viewing data with high accuracy and minimal resource usage.
• Optimize embedded software for performance, memory efficiency, and power consumption on resource-constrained TV platforms, ensuring seamless operation across diverse hardware configurations.
• Debug and resolve complex integration issues across multiple TV operating systems, firmware versions, and hardware architectures, including Android TV, webOS, Tizen, and proprietary platforms.
• Contribute to the evolution of Samba’s core ACR technology by identifying integration bottlenecks and proposing scalable architectural improvements to support global expansion.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable C/C++ code for embedded environments, adhering to strict coding standards and version control practices using Git.
• Work closely with data engineering and product teams to ensure embedded software captures the precise viewing signals required for Samba’s media intelligence platform.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and cross-functional planning sessions to align integration efforts with company-wide technical roadmaps.
• Monitor and analyze field data from deployed integrations to detect anomalies, improve reliability, and reduce customer-reported issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration protocols, API specifications, and troubleshooting procedures for internal teams and external partners.
• Stay current with emerging TV platform technologies, firmware updates, and industry standards to proactively adapt Samba’s integration strategy.
• Support onboarding of new TV manufacturer partners by providing technical guidance, integration tooling, and testing frameworks tailored to their specific environments.
• Ensure all embedded software complies with privacy and data consent requirements, given Samba’s foundation of consumer-consented data collection.
• Travel may be required to partner sites for on-site integration support, testing, and collaboration with hardware vendors.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development
• Experience integrating software with Smart TV platforms (Android TV, webOS, Tizen, or proprietary OS)
• Strong understanding of embedded system constraints: memory, CPU, power, and real-time performance
