- • Design, build, and maintain healthcare data integrations using Python, HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and SQL to connect EHR systems with Hippocratic AI’s clinical AI platform.
- • Collaborate with product managers, delivery leads, and customer engineers to translate clinical and technical requirements into scalable, testable integration workflows.
- • Coordinate with offshore engineering teams to execute implementation, conduct code reviews, and ensure quality assurance of integration deliverables.
- • Monitor performance of live integrations, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system reliability and throughput across production environments.
- • Develop and contribute reusable integration components and standardized templates to improve efficiency and consistency across customer deployments.
- • Troubleshoot production incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and implement fixes to ensure minimal disruption to clinical AI operations.
- • Work with modern healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2, FHIR, and X12 to ensure compliance and data accuracy in patient-facing AI workflows.
- • Engage in 20–40% travel, including overnight and out-of-state trips, to support customer sites, integration deployments, and cross-team collaboration.
- • Participate in the design and evolution of the company’s integration framework, helping to define best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
- • Interface directly with EHR systems and their APIs to enable seamless data exchange between clinical records and Hippocratic AI’s Polaris LLM platform.
- • Ensure all integrations meet healthcare data privacy and security requirements while maintaining high availability and accuracy for patient safety-critical applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in healthcare integration or interoperability engineering.
- • Strong understanding of HL7 v2, FHIR, and X12 standards.
- • Hands-on experience with Python and at least one integration engine (Mirth, Rhapsody, InterSystems IRIS, or Redox).
- • Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and SQL.
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- • Strong ownership mindset with attention to reliability, scalability, and quality.
