📋 Description

• As an Integration Engineer at Light & Wonder, Inc., you will own the critical interaction surface between Light’s Smart Financial Platform and external financial systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant data flows that enable global finance operations.
• Day to day, you will build and maintain integrations with corporate banking APIs (J.P. Morgan, HSBC), global e-invoicing networks (Peppol), tax platforms, and other financial systems, focusing on backend-heavy work where data integrity and reconciliation are non-negotiable.
• You will work within an early-stage, mission-driven team that treats finance as a product, combining deep technical rigor with a passion for modernizing how money moves across borders and systems.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in financial APIs, multi-tenant system design, and reconciliation engineering while contributing to a category-defining platform used by leading global companies.

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience building production software that solves real problems for real users, with a focus on integrations against external, uncontrolled systems.
• Hands-on experience with corporate banking or payments APIs, preferably J.P. Morgan or HSBC, including familiarity with ISO 20022, mTLS, OAuth, and payment initiation/status reporting flows.
• Strong backend engineering skills, comfort with Kotlin and AWS-based infrastructure, and a mindset that prioritizes data integrity, idempotency, and reliable reconciliation.
• Ability to work across the stack when needed, with curiosity about frontend (React) and infrastructure (Terraform), and a habit of shipping early, learning fast, and iterating.
