- • Design, build, and maintain integrations between Drivetrain’s financial planning platform and third-party financial systems, including ERPs, accounting software, and data warehouses.
- • Develop and document RESTful APIs and webhook-based data pipelines to enable seamless, real-time synchronization of financial data across platforms.
- • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate customer integration requirements into scalable technical specifications and implementation plans.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve data mapping, transformation, and synchronization issues across heterogeneous systems with high accuracy and minimal downtime.
- • Optimize integration performance and reliability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve failures.
- • Work closely with customer success and support teams to diagnose and resolve integration-related issues reported by enterprise clients.
- • Ensure all integrations comply with data security and privacy standards, including encryption, authentication, and access control protocols.
- • Maintain version-controlled integration codebases using Git and follow CI/CD best practices to enable automated testing and deployment.
- • Contribute to the design of reusable integration components and libraries to reduce redundancy and accelerate future integration projects.
- • Participate in cross-functional sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives as part of an agile development team.
- • Stay current with evolving financial data standards (e.g., XBRL, FDX, Open Banking) and emerging integration technologies to recommend improvements.
- • Document integration architectures, data schemas, and API endpoints for internal and external stakeholders, including client technical teams.
- • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on integration patterns, error handling, and data quality practices.
- • Engage directly with customers during integration scoping and onboarding phases to understand their unique financial data workflows and constraints.
- • Balance speed of delivery with system stability, ensuring integrations meet enterprise-grade reliability and scalability requirements.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Drivetrain’s integration framework by identifying bottlenecks, proposing automation opportunities, and advocating for platform enhancements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade financial data integrations with systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERPs
- • Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go for developing data pipelines and APIs
- • Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth2, webhooks, and JSON/XML data formats
- • Familiarity with ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation logic
- • Experience using version control (Git) and CI/CD tools for deployment automation
- • Ability to troubleshoot complex data synchronization issues across distributed systems
